My 9th grade English teacher, Mrs. Baumgarther, said poetry was meant to be read aloud. It took awhile for me to understand. It turns out she was right but, likely, not for the reasons of phrasing and sonority, she had in mind. It turns out that if you don't sit prospective readers down and give them a heartfelt oral rendering of your poem or essay or story, they probably won't ever read it.

So, I decided to produce a CD's worth of my book, Summer Words, 2000, in hopes that these essays and thoughts and poems might reach the minds and hearts of few willing listeners. Like you, perhaps.

And, just to liven it up a bit, I added short interludes of my multi-track original music - from folk to jazz to cowboy to blue to ... The All Bob Tibetan Reverb Choir.
